BAY AREA CHRISTIAN BASEBALL ASSOCIATION
An Organization For The Support of Bronco Baseball
BACBA must applaud the enormous contributions made by the First Baptist Church of League City, on whose grounds the baseball field is located. Without their help, and that of Bay Area Christian School, completion of these plans would not be possible.

BACBA Plans For The Team Year 2007 / 2008
What is BACBA?
The Bay Area Christian Baseball Association (BACBA) is a nonprofit corporation under the Texas Business Organizations Code. Article IV of the “Certificate of Formation” states,“The Corporation is organized exclusively for charitable, religious, education, scientific and literary purposes within the meaning of Section 501 ©(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, as maybe amended, including, for such purposes, the making of distributions to organizations that qualify as exempt organizations under Section 501 (c)(3) of the Internal Revenue code, or the corresponding section of any future federal tax code.”
In compliance with article IV, BACBA shall function to financially support the “Broncos” Varsity and Junior Varsity baseball teams of the Bay Area Christian School located in League City, Texas. Bay Area Christian School is a member of Texas Association of Parochial and Private Schools (TAPPS). The school does not benefit from local and state taxes, thus the need for an organization like BACBA to help support the baseball teams. In this regard, know that your 2007 contributions to BACBA will be directed exclusively toward renovation of the Bronco Baseball field.
Contributions of any size are being accepted by BACBA for use as outlined below. Your help may come as money, physical labor, loan of construction equipment, use of small buildings, etc.
BACBA will use your contributions to change the “tired old baseball field” into a show case that TAPPS, League City, Galveston County, and the Houston Metropolitan Area can point to as an example of what parents and businesses can do together for the benefit of their children and communities. These plans are ambitious and expensive to finish, and as such, they will be impossible without your help.
Our Varsity and Junior Varsity teams are young, but very talented. The teams are composed mostly of sophomores and freshman. Unfortunately, at the end of this year, we will loose the leadership of our 2 seniors (Andy Padilla and Doug Delord) to graduation. Our 5 juniors (Tyler Trevino, David Groux, John Wade, Matthew Berger, and Ethan Henderson) will be asked to step forward into leadership roles next year. Fortunately, all of this young talent is blessed to have former Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder, Darwin Pennye, as its manager and head coach.
The new baseball show case will attract future athletes to join with the present team as we revitalize the long tradition of “winning” baseball at Bay Area Christian High School. Contributors to BACBA are considered a significant part of the tradition, now and into the future.
Your efforts in helping BACBA are a wonderful gift to pass on to your community. Therefore, public recognition of the contributors to this legacy will take place before the inaugural game at the new Bronco field in 2008.
